
For nearly four decades Mark Evanko, the principal of Mark Evanko Consulting, Inc., has been dedicated to ensuring that corporations and laboratories maintain the highest standards of quality assurance and compliance. From juvenile products to furniture and consumer products, Mark’s career has included extensive international experience, managing relationships and issues with governmental consumer product agencies such as the CPSC, Health Canada and Transport Canada and NHTSA, and maintaining the safety for more than 400 million McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys.
Mark retired as the Executive Vice President of Quality and Product Safety for Dorel Juvenile Group in 2018. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw a team of quality assurance engineers, quality control, and inspectors and four global laboratories.
Prior to Dorel, Mark was the Technical Director at ACTS Testing Labs, where he opened laboratories in Hong Kong and France. Supporting more than 5,000 consumer product companies, Mark was one of the early employees that helped guide the organization on the path for its successful acquisition by Bureau Veritas.
When companies need risk management or regulatory guidance, Mark’s expertise as the Head of Quality for the largest juvenile manufacturer in North America paved the way. He has always been known for his vast knowledge and integrity and “doing what is right.”
Mark is known as a trainer and teacher in the workplace as well as a coach for baseball, softball and soccer. He has a Master’s degree in Biology from the State University College at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Science from Alma College in Michigan.
